Divine Strangers

Updated on June 21, 2012

Divine Strangers

We kiss, without a spark, without a flame

we both know it is just a game

of hide and seek and chase

an everlasting race

to find someone worth the fall

but nothing is ever good enough at all

we say words we do not mean

and discuss life and hopes and dreams

we are two strangers coming together for a brief moment in time

to share something so sensual and so divine

we fool ourselves for a moment to think it is just us two here

in a world of desperate believers, the end is near

we will turn and leave with a polite fair well

I know the end of this tale I tell

we will end as we begun

two strangers trying to find someone.

I like your poem, one day a kiss might spark more and end your search :)

Casual relations sound like such a waste of time. Why even put yourself through it?
