"Did you count your blessings today"

When God awakens me to a brand new and beautiful, I try to say a little prayer of thanks and count my blessings. I thank God for another day that I never saw before. We're not always happy and content with our situations, but if we just look around us, we will soon realize that there's someone in worse shape than we are.

As the old saying goes, someone complained that they didn't have shoe to wear and someone came along that didn't have feet to walk. There are people and children that have missing arms and legs but we don't see them complaining because they're to busy trying to use what they have. Just look around and you'll see someone living on the streets without a home and we're blessed to have a roof over our head to keep out the rain.

We complain about not having a car to drive, when a handicap person is so happy just to have a motorized wheel chair just to get around. We throw away food each and every day, when the little children in Africa and other country would just love to have a piece of bread and a clean glass of drinking water.

We are all so bless but don't have the sense to know that we are. When we wake up each morning don't be to a shame to say, Thank you Jesus for another brand new day. Thank you fo my loved ones and my health. There are to many ways to count your blessings, just start off by counting them one by one.

I truly believe that if we count our blessings each and every day, the good Lord will send bigger blessings our way.
