Didn't know I'd lose you that soon .......poem

Updated on December 8, 2014

The best days of our youth spent laughing
and wasting our days like lose
currency

Did we know it could all change
so fast did never we see
the urgency

I suspect we could never be allowed that
how else would we ever know
how to lose

When asked if we could guess
at all about love
how could we chose

And how we can wish away our lives
looking backwards and what
is it to teach

But to love each other to the most
to lift our hearts beyond where
mortal man can reach

We raced against the sun and then
we danced beyond
the moon

But oh how I would go back to say
just once .....I didn't know I'd lose you
so soon

Exquisitely written, and a lament we all share sooner or later.

      Voted up, and awesome.
