Different But Really The Same
Have you ever had a thought you barely understood or could articulate
And had everyone say, “We agree with you!”
I wonder if it’s sillier to believe in a magic man who constructed gardens
Or to believe in a love that will always last?
Whatever you might think is usually wrong if you rush to tell everyone
But if you wait then the seasoning makes it right
You bring your nerve along with you because you think truth is your face
I wonder though if you counted the times you were wrong in the past?
Is it better to be the only one who actually knows the truth
Even when you are being accused of what is false
Or to be an accuser safe inside the mob of approval
While the one inside his own shoes remains tied to the mast?
When a woman decides to remove the strings to her body
She has more courage than any man has ever known
The day she allows pleasure to sit in the front seat instead of the back
Is the day she will make love to you without being asked
