Dissatisfied (A Poem Of Satisfaction)

Updated on December 12, 2014

"I'm dissatisfied

what can I do

can I hang around with you, young man,

you're dissatisfied too”

"I guess that's so my own true love

I wonder how he knew

to send you falling safely here

where we could say what's true"

“Don't you tell me that I'm wrong ,my man,

I see your heart is blue

I feel it in the air you breath

I'm dissatisfied as you”

"That's for sure I have no lies

that's not the thing to do

But sending away the highest king

is not what I eschew"

"Yes I am dissatisfied

but not, my love, with you

but with the suffering you have known

what now can I do"

"If I could somehow make it right

and cause it to undo

I'd do it gently over time

and do it through and through"

"I'd do it for the world at large

that hurting suffering crew

I'd make it all turn out just fine

I'd make it all come true"

"But orders tall as that, my love

are unlikely to go through

I grues its meant for someone else

to pull this monster through"

"Meantime please pull up a chair

and spend a day or two

funny how the days fly by

how good it's been with you"

"When we met I was dissatisfied

and saw the same in you

but having listened with my heart

I'm satisfied with you, my love

I'm satisfied in you"

Thanks Dave K and psikotik1. It's great hearing from you both.

This poem is really good. I love the way it goes where it transitions to saying you want to change tone in the middle through end of the poem.

I spotted Elvis at WalMart today. He needs his side burns trimmed again.
