Dishpan Hands

Updated on May 15, 2012

Give It Your All

Are we cleaning house and doing what has to be done ?

We can speculate or master.....

The truth is we have to take action

Then we can step back and look at all the scrubbing we did and say..

The stove looks amazing

Good job

The grease we shouldn't of spilled

We had a chance to clean it up

We didn't for any number of reasons

Is finally gone

Why worry about the things that are little and really are no big deal

Unless we make them one

Time to make lunch

Tuna sounds good

I think tunafish is a calming food

It is simple and tasty

I had tunafish with eggs the first time ever

It was good

My friendly neighbor made it and I was hungry

I never would of ever tried it in my life if asked

Sometimes we are pushed to a direction we normally wouldn't take

We take a step out of our own comfort zone

It is a good thing

I realize I don't do enough of that

I play it safe

I hide my head in the sand when and if I get the chance to

Truth is life scares the BeJesus out of me and I deal with enough obstacles that I can't control

Including spelling the word BeJesus if thats a word

I don't want to add to the list

I like to feel I am in control over something

Truth is that is too many I's and not enough I will try

Well with a renewed spirit and sometimes a pit in my stomach at the same time

I few mispelled words like tunafish it just doesn't look right

It should look fine like work and bench in the word workbench

Now thats a word I love

Not just because I have a cool wooden one since I was a kid

That took up half my room

Well if you followed me this far you know I am far from over

I bend this way and that way and do everything to keep from falling over

My life is not perfect by any stretch of my imagination

But I will stretch my mind like a balloon until it pops

Going to the limit and then going a little bit farther

Then why not go even farther

So if you are like me and have questions about what is right and what is wrong

Try something and ask questions all the way along

We will come closer to the truth and we might even surprise ourselves

It might be far different than you imagined

When you get an itch and you find out it's a tick

Now thats a deal breaker

Off to the showers I go

Scrubbing every spot I see and can't see over and over again

Hoping to feel clean again

Well besides cleaning my home I have cleaned my mind

Have a good day and a wonderful smile with it

daisyflowrs My thoughts are scattered from here to Tim Buck Two.Another place where I don't know how to get to or know how to spell.Thoughts pop in my head like they have been always there but now they speak up and have a voice. That is one scarey thought.Thanx so much for reading and giving me a great big smile right back.(lol)Neilleanna Oh I love to see your smile. It brightens my week.I keep taking a stab at finding the inner me.Less turmoil and more peace.Poetry from the hips. Then I uncover another can of worms and a whole new series of adventures begins. So I live it, enjoy it and share it.Take care and may every day be more precious than the United States Treasury.Thanx for reading and helping me share the knowledge and wisdom you constantly glow with. What a wonderful feeling to experience so much love in one moment.

Oh, D.O. - This one is a kind of epic in an easygoing way!

English is so peculiar. For some reason workbench all pushed together into one word is what the dictionary likes; but it prefers its tuna fish in two separate words! Go figure! haha.

Anyway - you do a lot of thinking and mental handling of things and that's good! Your poetry is really getting better and better! And always, your wonderful smile! Hugs.-

You didn't add to the list. I get the BeJesus scared out of me all the time. I never attempted to spell it. So, here I sit, reading another great hub, and learning another valuable lesson - "I will try" and "Have a good day and a wonderful smile with it"...even when it hurts.
