Distant shadow of life – a poem

Updated on July 28, 2013

Shying away from life

And a deadening silence to encase,

Retiring away from heart

Trails of shadowy night yet embrace.

Embarrassing are the efforts

Never mind the knockings not replied,

So meaningless are the calls

Never ending are the mails returned.

Time and age never await us

Query of useless topics gathered dust,

Heart and sleep in an hourglass

Lousy wishes of many forgotten dusk.

How, why, where, when, what and whys…

So you wish to forget these links?

A trail of fading lineages you now despise

I will fade away with the time brinks.

Silence can blast the head off

And the emptiness can sure rip the earth apart,

The blank buzzing have crashed roof

A table of candle light dinner burnt down aghast.

Emotions to be buried deep

Cradle of hollow ‘Hi and Bye’ to rise,

Cremation of love rejoiced RIP

Saddles of sorrows insincere surmise.

Winged relations remote nuisance

And pretense of life mocking road shows,

Synthetic flowers to ornate cuisine

Senses since not learnt for shocking arrows.

Then… death be it

Not suitable for the so called life ahead,

Then… silence be it

Not apposite anymore for this world.

Goodbye life,

Heart is some dead echoes,

Lost breathe of a drive

Horizon is an end of ethos.

No more disturbances

Agree to resign useless burden,

A numb flow of nuances

Quit from life all of a sudden.

Not a drop of tear

And the world moves on and on,

Not a choice so sheer

But I promise to walk as your passion.

A passion of

Silence and distance,

Let it be death then….

And shadow of life erased with no pretence.
