Do I Have To Let You Go
Yes I Have To Go To Work
As You drive off
I give one final wave
In a our silver car covered bumper to bumper
With dirt and grime
Desperately in need of a car wash
Covered in a combination of everything winter has left behind
I watch as you disappear out of sight
Blending into a collage of cars
Of every color and shape
We both go to our jobs and do what we are trained to do
My feelings grow
Being apart only so we can spend more time together
Kind of ironic don't you think
In the mist of a world of confusion and so many differences
We find a balance
With each other by loving one another
We are reminded how little control we actually have
As I take a glimpse of the few hours of sunlight that I have left
Realizing I will miss the rest of the day
When I go into work
Walking through those glass brown doors
Knowing what makes me the happiest
When I asked you to roll down your window
So I could steal one last kiss
