How to Make Money Online

I came to Hubpages after following a thread that started How to make money online; the Webpage told me that for very little effort I could be bringing in thousands of dollars every week.

My inbox is now full of offers from this webpage citing cases of people who have made ludicrous sums like $300 million using the secrets they offer.

They tell me that I could join this band of wealthy people that just sit back and count their money. This is just one of the lines out of one of the emails ‘Quick way to produce $1,000 week every week starting TODAY!.’

Come on now be honest who wouldn't like to be making $1,000 every week I certainly would.

The Offer

They started out by asking for $97 for this secret when they wanted money off me they lost me but their emails kept on coming.

With each succeeding email (I have not responded to these emails) they have reduced the sum I need to pay for this secret. I think it is down to around $37 at the moment and is possibly still falling.

What I don’t understand is why if their secret really works and you can make money while you sleep, why are they trying so hard to get hold of my money?

Is it a Scam? Well what do you think?

They are putting so much effort into trying to get such a small amount (compared with what they are offering in their emails) so if it really is easy to generate such huge amounts with little or no effort why are they spending so much effort doing this?

They claim to have made more money than they know what to do with and they are only doing this to give something back.

When I saw this my mind said 'Yeah a likely story'but my generous nature said well they might just be nice people and really want to do just that.

Now after lots of emails I think that they seem to be pursuing me rather persistently for someone who doesn’t have any interest in the money.

They claim that the money asked from me is only to weed out the time wasters, and to test my commitment mmm... What do you think?

Why are they bothered about my commitment level or why do they need my money up front?

If they are just interested in getting this into peoples hands so that they can also make loads of money like they have then why not just give it away to anyone who ask?

Is it a scam or is it a sure fire fire way to make money, really tell me what you think use the little poll below and lets see what folks think.

Are they after my money?

Debt of Gratitude

However I must say that I owe them a debt of gratitude because it is through them that I got to know about Hubpages.

I have just finished reading a Hubpage by pgrundy who tells you for free the truth about making money online this site is so full of useful information that I have bookmarked so that I can follow up on some of her suggestions.

If you read my profile you will see that I have only been on Hubpages a few days so there are so many things that are new to me which I am not sure what to do or sometimes how to do it so experienced Hubbers please excuse any mistakes in Netiquette that I may have made.

If you seriously want to know how to make money using the internet then please go to the real ‘How to Make Money Online’ Hubpage by pgrundy where you will find a wealth of information that can lead you to all sorts of real opportunities.

Beware though if your aim is to make money by doing nothing then this is not the Hubpage for you, but if you love to write and are not afraid of hard work then you will find real treasure here.

Well after nearly a week on Hubpages I have published five Hubs (this will be the sixth)I have had no comments up to the time of writing, but I have acquired three fans so at least three people have read something of mine even if it is only my name.

I am not sure from the number of hits that I have managed to get that I would be able to generate enough money from Adsense to be paid more than once every five years, that is assuming I am able to sort out a way for them to pay me.

I would love to make money

After reading many of the Hubs which are of a superb quality I am not sure that I will ever be able to make money online.

However, I know that I get a real sense of achievement when I see something of mine on a Hub and I really enjoy the process of writing and producing something.

Many of the Hubs are produced by people who write professionally and it shows in their content and in the quality of their writing.

Lucky for me Hubpages do not require you to take an exam before they allow you to publish, this is just as well because I am not sure that I would pass any exams in English.

I left school at fifteen and really didn’t know how poorly educated I was until I went to work fortunately they sent me to day release college once a week until I was eighteen that is when my real education started.

To conclude this little ramble of mine I would love to be able to make some money doing something I love.

An update 2012

It is now 2012, time for an up date, when I wrote this I thought that I would probably not make any money here on HubPage.

Now it is three years on and I have actually started to make some money from the hubs I have written.

If I had continued writing at the rate I was writing when I started I would now have around 780 hubs and no doubt I would be making a comfortable passive income.

Unfortunately for me I did not so I have only written 64 hubs, this shows that I need to be a bit more organised and produce some more.

If I get my finger out as they say, then instead of a pay out ever two or three months, I will be getting a pay out every month.

I do love writing and so I am very happy to have found a place where I can write pretty much as I want and then publish it where people can read and enjoy what I have written.

I also love photography and marrying of these two loves has produced some hubs that I am proud of and which have also proved to be popular.

The Truth about Making Money On-Line

Now if you really want to know the truth about making money here it is.

If you want to make money on line , one thing I can guarantee is, that just like in the real off line world, you will need to put some work in if you want to get money out.

If you see offerers of huge sums of money to be made for little or no effort save yourself time and energy they are only after your money.

Do not delay any longer if you want to make money on-line you can, it will take work and effort on your part, but there are many sites where this is possible.

HubPages is one of these sites

Hubpages is somewhere that you can write about almost anything under the sun, make new friends and make money all at the same time.

If you think this might be for you follow this link :- join here

Unlike the scams it will not cost you a penny to join and if you want to know the answer to a question concerning how to do something on HubPages then just ask.

Someone in the community will give you an answer and that too will not cost you a penny.

Like the old adage says 'If a thing seems too good to be true, it most likely is!'

Hi free movies I have only just seen your comment I have not visited this hub in quite a while so I am so sorry that my response to your comment has taken so long.

This hub was written quite soon after I joined HubPages so there was no advertising partly because I didn't live in the USA and also because I had little or no idea what I was doing I had not got these things sorted out.

It is much easier now especially since HubPages have started their own Ad program.

FA Williams Thank you so much for your comments, I have stopped fretting about comments, like you say they are nice to get and a great encouragement but they are not what dictates whether a hub is successful in terms of money.

However, I have decided not to write for money but for enjoyment and personal satisfaction, if it makes money great but if it doesn't I don't really care as I get my satisfaction from the process of writing the hub and then seeing it published on the web.

hi raleyfamily I love your hubs so I am glad that you have decided to write just for the joy of sharing with others money isn't everything and being a part of the hubpages community has many benefits that you can't buy with money

I love the honesty of your hub.

Don't fret about getting comments. While comments are nice, they're not the driving force behind earning money here at HubPages. I placed my first hub here about 3 weeks ago and the only hub that earned anything had no comments.

As far as education and being a professional writer, I like your writing style. I don't know what people consider professional writers to be, but whatever it is, I'm not one.

I happen to earn a few dollars writing, but I'm by no means a professional. The School of Hard Knocks is a great teacher. You'll learn more as you go along.

Keep up the good work, you're headed in the right direction.

I've kind of come to the same conclusion as you, if I make $10 a month, I feel excited! But I love writing, and I have some things I'd love to get across and have people think about, so maybe I write more for that!

Hi, thanks for joining my fan club. I perfectly understand your anxiety about not getting comments, initally. I'm new too, so I'm always thankful for any comments. It's good to know that someone out here shares my reservations.

I guess there's no shortcut--step on the accelerator and let's go. Hopefully, it's an exciting ride.
