Do You Remember It?

Updated on January 20, 2016

Do you?

Tiny remains of

a broken promise

lies on a dirty floor.

Do you remember it?

Once you promised me

that you'd always be

right by my side.

Do you remember

when you held my hand,

standing under the starry sky?

Then, in a moment,

I gave you my everything.

I wonder if you can remember it.

But, in a moment,

you threw my love away,

laughing at my feelings

that began growing for you.

Do you remember,

when you told me

that we had everything

to be together until

the same end of time.

Was that promise

nothing for you?

Do you remember,

that magical night,

when your blue eyes

made me fall under your spell?

Not Ashamed...

I'm not ashamed of saying

that I do remember you.

I will remember you

until the end of time.

You will always be

a very important part

of my life.

I really hope that you know it.

Because, here, in the darkness,

I am waiting for you

to come back to me.

Maybe you are not

worth of my wait…

But I can't make my heart

understand it.

So, I'll keep waiting for you

and your warm embrace.

Do you remember

the promise that you made?

I hope it keeps you awake

late at night.

Thank you very much for your kind words, Shyron!. And as a lot of poetry, this has a bit of truth and some fiction.. I´d like to leave it like that.. for now.

Patricia, this breaks my heart. Beautifully written.

I felt as if you wrote this from experience and if so--I hope you can let go and find someone who appreciates the beauty in you.

      Blessings

      Shyron
