Do Sad Stories Make You Cry (limerick)

Updated on October 26, 2013

When wife asked I couldn’t deny

Sad stories would oft make me cry

Like lovers who’d pluck

A fate of bad luck

Or why wife’s car struck other guy

It was likely no pleasantry for either of them.

I hope it was the other guy's car and not the guy himself! You're so good with these limericks.

Ah, yes, Martin. Sad is one of the inherent human emotions which require outlets. Letting tears flow also helps 'dry eye' and flushes out stuffed emotions. Very healthy. Not healthy to cling to it past its natural duration, though. Then one will need another sad story to flush out those over-stuffed emotions, probably.

I love the just of your limerick. Well said and it's good to allow tears to come and go!

Yes, those insurance rates just keep climbing up, up and out of sight.

      Great Limerick!
