Does No Good to Cry

Updated on March 3, 2011
Source

the temperature is dropping
the forecast looking grim...
snow is in our future...
chance of sunshine, slim.

Wind is soon expected...
ice rains from the sky...
pelting all who brave it...
does no good to cry!

they say we'll see six inches
before this day is done.
guess I'll stay right by this fire
and get some writing done!

Hi Max! In reality, I prefer the cooler weather to the heat, especially the older I get, which is the opposite of most folks I know. I don't deal so well with the extreme heat, any more. In the north, you can always put on more clothes to get and stay warm...in the heat, you can only take so much off! Thank you for your visit and comment and stay warm!

LOL that's just the state of my mind, Marsha! I am freezing here (well, no snow here like eveR but something below +18C/64.4F - just freezes my poor brains away LOL)

I am a crier, by nature, I fear...and I have been searching for a plumber to fix these leaky eyes for most of my life! To be honest, we are fixing to get more snow before I get out of here on Monday and head back to Florida...if I get snowed in, I will be weeping lots of tears! lol...thank you, epigramman for your most welcomed visit! smiles to you!

...yes you're right - it does no good to cry - but I do it anyway - sometimes 'crying' is like a leaky faucet - and it will come out anyway - but there is no crying here right now - only the joy and awe of being able to read the words from a writer who is not afraid to probe the depths of all human emotions ......

vrbmft, I had to chuckle at your comment. We are alike in the tear department...They seem to be as much a part of my existence as "peeing" or laughing...! Thanks for stopping by and sharing!

I like it! Short and truly warm, by the fire. BUT, I'd still make time and room for a few tears!!! But that's just me. I haven't stopped crying in five months, so it's almost like peeing for me!!! I really like the poem
