17 Syllable Dog-Catchers
Haiku are strangely pleasing, and I'm really not sure why. It's something about fitting neatly into a format that just won't budge (which sounds oddly like a pair of skinny jeans) that makes it all worthwhile. Sometimes the result is funny, sometimes it makes you stop and sigh.
What better topic than dogs? After all, dogs please me even more than haiku. Usually.
So here are a few to get started.
Puppy breath smells like
Joy. Childhood, soft licks, fur puffs.
We got it! Puppy.
Sleeping dog farts. Jumps.
Runs away in fear, then turns
What the heck was that?
Old dog sleeps, shivers
Long life, old friend, gray muzzle,
So much love, so short.
Silly dog, do you think
You can really catch that bird?
If only you flew.
So there, some to start. Go ahead and add your own!
