Don't Pull That Trigger

Updated on December 6, 2012

Wait Not just yet

Life happens so fast we hardly have time to think

Things that seem right sometimes appear

Other times it's not that clear

We sometimes are too quick to judge

Our instincts tell us what is right and wrong

Do we feel right after making a choice ?

Did we hurt other people because of the decision we have made?

What if we had made a different choice?

Would the outcome be better or worse ?

There are so many decisions to make and lots of choices to decide

In so little time

Only you can be the judge if it all was for the better

Way the facts and keep a clear mind has helped me

Sometimes understanding other peoples points of view different than my own

Left with time to think and ponder lifes biggest question

How can we all live a happy and fruitful life

Life does not come without sacrifice and hardship

Seeing is believing

Carrying out our plans to the end

Looking back after the smoke has cleared

Seeing good results and no casualties is a win win for me

I live in my own battlefield where the fighting never stops

As many times as I wait to hear the words Cease Fire Cease Fire

The bullets still fly

The way of the world

But not the world I make happen every day

I can not control what other people think or their actions

I am responsible only for me

So as I sit here and chose between two choices

I trust my instincts and all my decisions I have made so far

To lead me in the right direction

Helping others who have helped me

Trusting those that can be trusted

Learning life is filled with lessons

Some are hard to swollow

Each outcome is different and we grow without any thinking needed

I am blessed in a world filled with troubles and happiness

Each day I decide to unlock more pleasant surprises that have a way of finding me

My troubles seem far and few

I wish them away but it is not to be

So I have learned to work through them the best I can

Finding a life that has rewarded me with pleasures of the mind

That no matter where some people look they will never find

You said it right. Go with the flow. Always remember what the Bible says do unto other as you would want them to do unto you.

Your words always leave me in awe. You are able to express your feelings so well.

      I voted UP, etc.

I hope you have a Merry Christmas although I know you will be sad this year because of your Mother's passing. Holidays without our loved ones are so hard. I think of you and wish you well.

I couldn't have said it better. My Dad always taught me to step back, analyze the situation and way the other options. And do you best to never hurt others if it can be helped. Although sometimes the best decisions for everyone involved come with some well-intentioned and unavoidable hurt.
