Don't let love slip by
Don’t let love slip by
By Tony DeLorger © 2011
A travesty to let love slip by,
regret a lifelong ill,
holding back in the face of love,
our hearts regress to still.
When summer’s lilting song resounds
in winters bite and chill,
‘tis love that beckons hearts to rise,
and embrace a yearning will.
For love once revealed is heaven’s call,
a surrender born of souls,
bound in blissful kindness care,
in life complete and whole.
Recognition is the art to see,
the hearts of loving seed,
and open up the gates of fear,
dismiss those doubts in deed.
Acknowledged in the eyes of one,
accepting love that’s selfless,
to explore all life in sharing minds
with hearts as one relentless.
When love appears before us,
it is our greatest gift,
so never let a love slip by,
let loving souls adrift.
