Dream a Dream Full of Wishes

Updated on November 1, 2016

I'm a writer, a poet, a dreamer. Born and raised in New York City. I live in the suburbs of Riga, Latvia with my hubby, Martin & cat, Sid.

Dreams are special wishes,

that make golden memories.

Dreams are for the daring -

who don’t worry about tomorrows,

that are not promised to anyone.

Dream the dream you dare to dream,

never look back and never regret.

Tomorrows will come just like sailing ships

and if you are there to greet them,

then you can try to make your dreams come true.

Dreams make so many things possible,

they tell us stories,

of things that have been

and things that will still be.

They send us messages,

from loved ones who are beyond the stars

and they bring us happiness,

in many moments of sad refrain.

Dreams are for dreamers,

who have special hopes,

that someday they’ll all come true

and while you’re dreaming -

dream a little dream,

of the love you share.

Never give up and you’ll see,

that the dreams you dream today,

will be the reality you live tomorrow,

as long as you keep believing

and wishing on the stars above,

remembering that in this world,

there is still love.

Excellent inspirations. What will we do without dreams? Nice rhythm and blue/Jazz song to reflect this. Great! I know that I won't give mines up. Optimistic piece, Gypsy.

Well shoot! I don't dream, or at least I never remember them if I do. Maybe I don't have "special wishes?" LOL At least I have your beautiful poem about them.

      Thank you Manatita.

Thank you Bill. About those dreams - perhaps you don't dream because your best wishes have been fulfilled. You have the love you always wanted, a good life and you're a talented writer.

Great inspiration of an important starting point , dreaming and wishing. Many good things follow if or when a person having nothing, yet steadfastly focuses on certain goals.

Sorry for the late reply. Wishing you all a wonderful new week full of inspiration.

      Thank you Ruby.

      Thank you Flourish.

That is so true Michael. We always need to keep focused so we can achieve what we want to achieve and when that is done the feeling is always wonderful.

      Thank you lifegate.

Dreams are more than messages that play out in our subconscious while we're sleeping. They're goals and aspirations that guide us through our conscious state.

      You got it right, Rasma!
