"Dream" by Eric Wayne Flynn

"Dream"

Conjuring

Yes, the stirring of the soul

No, not that of the flesh

It is watery, more of a mist

We meet and learn to dance

As imagination takes us away

An astral plane

A lunar eclipse

The shining sun

A warm embrace

And yet we never even touch

We just look into each other's eyes

The understanding, spirits bowing down in respect

Knowing, how precious, how lucky, shared breath

Floating, in love, in dream

Swimming in a warm lucid liquid

These thoughts in our minds

These beats of our hearts

Blood pulsing home

Becoming one

Sacred in rapture

Finally, the sensation of touch, this acknowledged sin

Walking hand in hand as we take care of our gift

And as we change with the tides, yet remain the rock, the foundation

Aglow under the light of the moon

Laying in the green grass

Planting roots

The seed cometh from the stars

Asleep in the womb

Conjuring, anew

Dream

Thank MssKrss, I try to speak a genuine tongue rooted in a base form of humanity, not a depraved base but a pure base, an unadulterated one. I am glad to share like mindedness, it means I'm not alone. Pleasure to meet you as well.

Oh I love this piece. Magnificently capturing souls in an aura of love. There's nothing quite like falling with all your mind, body and soul. An inspiring read :)

I absolutely loved this piece! You are my poetic doppelganger it would seem. I've gone to see Maya Angelou speak and she affirmed the world of poetry is the tower of babel and many different languages spill forth. I don't often read other's poetry and find someone speaks my own tongue!

      You do, sir, you do.

      Pleasure to meet you.

Hi Cam8510, I greatly appreciate the kind words, and you seem to know all you need to know about poetry; if it moves you and speaks to you, it's valuable. I thank you for reading and commenting on my work.

Thank you RJ, for all your opinionated writings and "politically incorrect" taboo subjects, I find someone who cares deeply for what it is to be human, and what disciplines we need for the highest harmony. I am glad you are out there holding all accountable to the fire, and I appreciate your support.

Awesome. I haven't read your poetry before, but I like how the length of the lines grows and shrinks back, then grows again. Forgive me, I know nothing about poetry, but I like this very much.

This may be one of your best Eric - such an epic rendition of falling in love both physically and spiritually - it's very moving and brings the reader in and holds them there in awe while the rest of the tale unfolds. Bravo!
