Dream's Desire

Updated on January 6, 2012
carolinemd21 profile image

I am an artist, designer, photographer and writer. See more of my work on cmariearts.

My dream has a desire

That she can't conceal

She tosses and turns

To make it come real

In deep sleep she feels

A million years away

The night's her playground

Where she can play

The flood of desire

Overpowers her

Breaking her walls

The moon and stars

Can't break her fall

She meets many faces

And sees many smiles

Only to wake up again

To her daily trials

The desires of our dreams and our daily trails sometimes extremes of each other. They do however feed each other giving possibilities to both. I also read and enjoyed

Good stuff, Caroline. But that's the trouble with happy dreams, we always wake up again to reality. But right now I wouldn't change a thing.

Welcome Caroline , yes it's all in perfect context and the great Bob Marley said so , you running and you running and you running away , but you can't run away from yourself.

That's why who feels it knows it. Beautiful picture.

Good to see you and a conscious poem to start.

Another awesome poem, Caroline - I love how the rhythm plays just like a lullabye. Very soothing, and yet there's an almost ominous note with the last two lines that makes me wonder just what those daily trials are... Very nicely done - voted up and beautiful!
