DREAMS - A poem for my baby

Updated on April 1, 2016

Off to sleep my little one

and rest your tired head,

Have dreams of clouds and beanstalks,

from your comfy, fortress bed.

As your mind begins to wander,

And lifts up, to the deep blue sky,

It leaves the world, far below,

Now little one, you can fly.

First class to adventure land,

Anywhere you wish to be,

Holding on to anything,

because dreams can set you free.

But first, you have to close your eyes,

and drift away to sleep,

because dreamland has everything,

and those dreams are yours to keep.

Poems for my daughter

@ patty and Josh3418. Thank you both. I like to write them sometimes. At the time I had very little time, and even 5 minutes to express the love for my little lady was enough to write something meaningful.

@bearnmom, Thank you. I have lots of these poems but have only put 2 of them on hubpages. I am glad you enjoyed it.

Wonderful symetry. Just and pure as the infant to which you are writing.

Thank you both. They are short poems I wrote while myself and my wife looked forward to our little girls arrival. I might post some more in the future. Thanks
