Dreams Of Tomorrow (tanka)

Updated on September 14, 2013

Dreams of tomorrow

Which once seemed so far away

Flowers from life’s tree

Which filled the air as they danced

Now comfort them as they sleep

Beautiful and the perfect photo to go with it. It has a melancholy sound to it which I like. I must confess, I had to look up what a "tanka" was and if they are all as this one, I like this form of poetry.

Beautiful poem Martin. So profound. It says it all, the reality that is life.

Touching piece, for me depicts the completion of life's cycle together, as a couple who dances, shares dreams, and now rests in the comfort of memories. Thank you for that, Mhatter99. Voted up and beautiful.

      This poem is amazing.

      Life passes so quickly.

That which we hoped for comes to pass.

And, we are left with eternal rest.

Mine is not elegant, but I get it.

      I love this poem.

      Truly, one of your best!
