Spring colors tempt me-

The sunlight plays hide and seek.

I dip my paintbrush.

Hummer's food ambush:

Bright yellow flash-a- chatter.

Followed link from RTalloni's hub and glad I did, lovely haiku. The trees dressed in season's best are awesome, words and picture, but I just go past "cutting edge design", it is way cool. I like these heaps, thanks cat on a soap box, my votes and sharing on!!

I wasn't familiar with haiku until I read yours here on hubpages Cat.They really cut to the soul despite their simplicity. Of course your garden as usual looks magical!

      Simple but very powerful descriptions.

Wonderful thoughts for spring. Haven't had the chance to attend to my garden yet but have things growing in pots ready to go.My great big oak tree in my garden is slowly but surely putting on its green coat.

Hi cherriquinn, I'm happy that you dropped by! Haiku is such a delightful form of poetry, and there are many creative writers of the genre here on HP. I'm happy that my worked opened your eyes to it- that is a great compliment! I appreciate the nice comment about my garden! It is a work in progress :) Thank you!

Hi Gypsy Rose Lee! Spring is creeping in this year- at least here in So. Calif. We have hot spells then cool, wet ones. My crape myrtle is finally emerging from dormancy like your oak. It is fascinating to watch! My haiku was inspired by the sunlit tree canopy in my garden and the frenetic bird activity that keeps both me and my cat in a prolonged state of bliss! Thank you for your thoughtful comments. Happy Spring!
