Drowned And Drowsed

Updated on June 25, 2012

In the sea of your deceit

Beneath the asphalt of insult

I stand in disgust

Of the treachery of your love

Am lifeless even to mourn

Succumbed to asphyxia

Anserine was I then

For now I lay in dementia

So pained by your doings

And your acts so soul ripping

I try to heave it off my chest

Drowsed by death me tripping

Of love you speak with moony eyes

But I now see the fallacy

Your heart of stone and glazed lies

And your betrayal strategy

Broken by your greed

Torn by your lust

I lay dead and watch you scud

Smothered in my own blood

Rahul, you take my breath away, my Brother! You have such phenominal talent (I know I've used that term several times with regard to you, but there are no others to describe you!). The pictures you choose to accompany your poetry are exquisite.

I feel your heart has been hurt and that angers me. You've been through so much and you have such a kind, deep, loving soul. It's because of this that you will be hurt again, because you will never stop giving; it's not in your makeup.

Be strong and learn, but never grow cold, my friend. You are a true gift to humanity and the world!

      I love you, my Brother!

And I feel good when I know there are beautiful and soulful people like you.. whom I would meet some day and finally have good time with!

Is it just me or was that heart-wrenching? I really felt like I was the person speaking in this poem. It was very dark in my opinion. I'm very shocked at your beautiful combination of words. It's hard to shock another writer, but I was like... "wow" at the end. Definitely Voted Up, Definitely Interesting, and Definitely Beautiful for your harnessing of the right words. Always a pleasure,

      -Aubrey.

Rahul that was so powerful and I am much sorry if this is not merely fiction... you're a good person... you deserve happy endings! Please don't lose your spirit if so, and please don't change! Just be who you, no misgivings, a romantic and generous soul just as youalways are and trust to God to look out for the rest! You will find your love of your life soon and kindly, do excuse me if this is just a brilliant masterpiece, hope so! :( Bless you!

great, already many readers have said so many good points about your poetry, it's ultimate.
