Drunk With Love. A Sonnet. To my Friend, Eiddwen
Drunk With Love. A Sonnet
Aglow in my Beloved’s Sanctum, on a firmament of Light.
My Heart, an indigo blue of beauty;
The Soul, a furnace of Delight!
I now dwell in the land of Lovers;
All woes are left behind.
How light, this golden Boat of mines!
I sail on ethereal waters, afloat on waves of joy.
Drunk and mute in the bliss of the Self,
All names escape my tongue.
How can I share, O Lover,
The state beyond ten thousand thrills?
On the wings of sweet Ambrosia, I lose myself.
Inebriated in a realm of sweetness;
Embraced by Love; the birthless wine of the Blesse´d One.
