Drunk With Love. A Sonnet

Aglow in my Beloved’s Sanctum, on a firmament of Light.

My Heart, an indigo blue of beauty;

The Soul, a furnace of Delight!

I now dwell in the land of Lovers;

All woes are left behind.

How light, this golden Boat of mines!

I sail on ethereal waters, afloat on waves of joy.

Drunk and mute in the bliss of the Self,

All names escape my tongue.

How can I share, O Lover,

The state beyond ten thousand thrills?

On the wings of sweet Ambrosia, I lose myself.

Inebriated in a realm of sweetness;

Embraced by Love; the birthless wine of the Blesse´d One.

      Hehe. I rely on your expertise, Bro.

      I started reading at four and writing poetry not too long afterwards. So I have a pretty solid background. I tell people to read, read, read and practice, practice; practice. Only I don't seem to do so anymore. I feel the words in my reverie, my meditations, my heart. They talk to me from the ether.... arouse my Soul like the passion of rolling waves.

      Much gratitude, much ... your frequent visits today has not escaped me. When is your birthday? (e-mail)

      You did a splendid job of setting up the quatrains as the question and providing the answer in the sestets. Well done. Jamie

      Manatita, now I understand. I am new to the community so didn't understand if the poem was in response to a writing challenge that happens occasionally here.

      I get it now. It is a poem of love, unrestricted by relationships. That's the Hindu way, Nimita matram. Peace be with you. .

      bravewarrior, yet another sweet tribute for Eiddwen. I feel that she will appreciate this. God bless your loving heart.

      Ruby, I thank you once more. In Light and Beauty. Peace.

      Manatita, you've captured the essence of Eddy's being. She has a heart that doesn't quit. She's forgiving, loyal, and very loving. Great job!

      Eddy was one of my earliest inspirations here at HP, and she has remained a loyal friend and a constant source of enjoyment for three years. Beautiful tribute to a beautiful human being. Blessings to you both.

      Thanks Dip.

      I write poems for many of my Friends. I do not necessarily follow any pattern. You could be new or a more seasoned Hubber familiar to me.

      I write for Love's sake. My Beloved has given me this gift, and I try to serve. Nimita Matram! Nimita Matram Bhava, Savyasachin. I am a mere instrument of His.

      Finally, Eiddwen, I know through Hub Pages, but I like her spirit. Perhaps we gel, and she is here in the UK with me, I believe. But now I feel like I'm demeaning myself with words. The answer which you ask, lies in Love, the kind I express in so many dedications and word-crafted Awakenings.

      So happy you came here. Much gratitude.

      Is this in response to a writing challenge posed by Eiddwen? Beautiful poem Manatita. Just curious to know why drunk with love sonnet for Eiddwen though.
