Easter Over How Does Our Life Change ?

Updated on April 6, 2015

Love Grows

Holidays are high points in our year

wonderful feelings and cheer

spending time with family and friends

eating sometimes till we are overstuffed

humor filled with laughter and over exaggerated stories

of the things we've done and the things we wanted to do but didn't

forgetting our troubles and our sadness

watching children all dressed up having fun playing together

most people having the day off

They got to relax and rest

I had to work but later in the day

so my Easter was squeezed into a few hours

looking back at yesterday

adding another memory to store away

back to our daily routine and responsibilities

thinking of all the Easters that have passed

that blend together

A spiritual time for many

that gives meaning in our life

I share Easter a different way

A day we look past our insecurities and faults

to see the beauty that is hidden

that is what makes us human

Minnetonka Twin Easter comes and goes so quick. I try to capture love and peace in every moment.Catherine Giordano Each smile brings new joy and happiness. I struggle for words when connection is all we have. I know next year the same people that we love may not be here. Michael-Milec Tradition over the years has changed. Easter was spent at home and having a home cooked dinner after church. Years later with parents gone and having new responsibilities we end up going out for a nice meal at a restaurant and work later. Thank you all for sharing and giving. May your Easter be wonderful.

      Hi Dream-on.

'Easter in many variation' - your poem teaching me of a cultural tradition in this part of the world. Interesting. Too interesting in a view of your words "How does our life change?"

'Easter Sunday'- English term for celebration of the world-wide - know event related to 'Spiritual Eternity' celebrating the Christ's resurrection , and so on , so on...

      Voted interesting.

This was a fun poem about a holiday that is usually treated more solemnly. I like it.

My Easter was an examination of what it means to be human. The happiness of the children in key. Jamie
