An Easter Tail

Updated on April 14, 2012

Who Is This Famous Rabbit ?

When I wake up early in the morning

What can I say

Has the Easter Bunny come

No not today

You have to be kidding

No chocolate bunnies to bite the ears off

No jolly rancher jelly beans to chew

What is this world coming to ?

I love to find hidden change all around the house

Little chocolate eggs scattered all about

Maybe even a stuffed animal in a basket

Can't forget all the colored eggs that look great

Bring on Peter Cottontail

What is Easter without an Easter hide and seek ?

Looking all over the house and finding the yellow peeps

I have never seen so much chocolate in one day

When parents say....

It is o.k. not just all at once

Save some for later we compromise

I know why they let me have it

Because secretly they love the Easter Bunny fun

They are too tall and old to crawl around and look

Only kids can go on an Easter egg hunt

One of the times adults wish they were still kids

Don't worry we have more than enough

Would you like an a bite or handful of jelly bean delights

After a few hugs I will give you just one more

It is the Easter Bunny who makes it happen

Mom and dad are his little helpers who help find the toughest spots

Remember he is busy and he doesn't have just one stop

That's why a bunny hops

Easter will always be fun for me

I promise I will wait till after super if I can just have one more candy
