Educator Extraordinarie

Unsung and Underpaid, this one is for You….

Thank you for not giving up on the children who fought you when you tried to push them, who resisted your advice only to find out that you were right…

Thank you for showing them and truthfully telling them, what is waiting for them, once they leave this environment…

Your honesty, your assessments, of what they need to succeed has helped many of them who would have become street causalities or future disasters..

More then they know you have been operating from the heart from the start…

More then they know you care for so many of them even when they don’t care for themselves…

The things you do and have tried to do goes beyond job description as you have spend many nights worrying about some of their plights…

You are a person who understands the needs of children who are misguided, confused and in search of directions…

I commend you for I have witness the faces of those who know that you have always cared about all of them…

I commend you for not backing down, or backing up when you don’t have parental involvement in the growth of their child…

I commend you for still finding a way to reach the children despise Rubrics that didn't work, administrators who fought the things that did work...

Truly you have been a blessing and I know that heaven smiles at the likes of you…

You are special and your eyes and heart gave it away ….

Your commitment and dedication gave it away…

I am honored to give you the flower of my words for you are most deserving…

There is fire in your talk and guidance in your words whether they like the heat or not, they need someone like you in their midst…

Yes, teachers are definitely underpaid and not nearly as recognized for their skills and dedication to their 'call' as those doctors, physicists, engineers, CEOs etc. that they helped train.

Thanks for honoring them with this beautiful poem.

      Voted up and beautiful.

Thank you...As a former educator myself I know first hand about the lack of respect for the value and worth of great teachers who go above and beyond the call of duty...

Very fitting tribute to teachers, Malik. I believe teachers have one of the most difficult jobs in the world. They are truly unsung, underpaid, and taken for granted. You have put a blessings upon them with your eloquent words. I really enjoyed this one. Voted up and beautiful.
