Embracing Colours.

Updated on February 21, 2014

Well hello once again and believe it or not it is a sunny morning here in usually rainy Wales.

The skies are blue; the clouds a soft white ; the grass green and many other beautiful colours are peeping through here and there.

Yesterday's hub was dedicated to my life and how writing has played such a big part in my life in such a positive way.

Also since a young girl I have spent so much time marvelling nature and its amazing qualities. The beautiful colours which surround us are also so heart warming and therapeutic. All through my life even before I realised it these magical qualities also helped me along on my quest for true happiness!!!

Today I stand TALL knowing who I am and also knowing that I owe so much to Mother Nature and the wondrous,almost magical qualities that lie deep in her heart.

Another very important quality is to believe in yourself and also in your faith. Hence today's song which I very often share is 'BELIEVE' but today sung by our very own Rhydian.

I hope you all enjoy.

Yellow's warm embrace

lifts my heart

to heights unknown;

a sunshine's blanket

of sweet protection...............................

Blue is from the skies

a canopy of wonder;

soft clouds a-floating

their softness

a cushion

full of nature's love..........................

Green is the nurture so true

feeding the heart

of nature's growth................................

Brown is the earth

a richness so wholesome

a bed to cherish each new life

new promises caressing................................

Purple is for softness

in a rich

velvet touch

its feel so caressing

so awesome

a cloak of seduction

life's embraces..........................................

Pink is for happiness

fairytale dances

so sweet

so precious

twinkling in mischief.................................

White is so pure

virginal quality

caressing the soft flight

of one sweet white dove................................

Colours are gifts from heaven

To help us on our way;

Magical gems from above

to brighten up our day.

It may be the blue skies

Which cause our hearts to soar;

They give us hope and strength

To open each closed door.

Winter flowers now dancing

In time to nature's tune;

Or the sea flows gently

Over the soft sandy dune.

My days are oh so bright

Each colour I do treasure;

Their hues and their scents

Forever give much pleasure.

If days are dark and angry

And life is now so bleak;

Embrace in nature's colours

For your happiness will peak.

Deep in my heart

I treasure everyday

Each sweet scented hue embracing

To be lifted to the heavens above

Cherub angels play on heartstrings

To lead us on our way

Each heart to love

Hues so sweet scented

Carry hearts to heights anew

Enchanted blossoms.

I hope you all enjoyed today's hub and I am now going to feed those birds as some little visitors are beginning to look in disgust at the almost empty feeders.

I wish you all a wonderful day and remember whether you are looking out of your window ,in your garden or on a walk there are so many colours to enchant and to fill our hearts and souls with beauty and belief.

Enjoy your day and here's lots of love to you all from my little corner of Wales.

      How beautifully you have stated how color enhances our world. So many shades of green on the earth, so many shapes and colors in the sky, so many hues in the flowers. I often praise God he didn't make the world in black and white.

      Eddy, beautiful poems stunning images, the colours of nature never fails to inspire and warm the heart. I'd forgotten how very powerful was Rhydian's voice, what is it about the Welsh, is it something in the water that produces such incredible voices? :) Thank you for this profoundly beautiful and colourful hub to grace my morning. Up and sharing.

      Beautiful Eddy. Today on 'Hymns of Praise' they celebrated St. David's Day and I thought of you. It was beautiful - St. David's Hall was filled. The compere was Aled Jones and he had a daffodil buttonhole, most of the hymns were in Welsh, Catherine Jenkins sang a solo so beautifully, one of the hymns was accompanied by FIVE harps and the final hymn was cwm Rhondda!

      Eddy, yesterday I noticed the first of Spring's blossoms. There are some mandavilla vines growing on the other side of my fence, intertwining with my jasmine. I took some photos of the delicate yellow blossoms. It's only February and already Spring is showing her face here in Central Florida.

      Your poems are beautiful as are the photos. My favorite color is purple and always smile when you include it in your poetry.

      My grandchildren often ask me what is my favourite colour. I usually say green but often I have difficulty in deciding as they are all so wonderful in nature. Colours in nature go together so well; the colours we produce for fabrics don't always work like that which just goes to show you that nature is far superior! I'm a fan of natural colours, by which I mean the hues of trees, soil, plants and flowers; the greens, the browns, the russetts of autumn are my favourites.

      Lovely poetry. It lifts the spirit just as the colours do.

      Hope you have a lovely day! Ann
