Enchanting Moon ( a poem of inspiration)
Moon beams, in every enchanted reflection,
signatures caught in time, as if in perfection.
All reigning down upon the backyard pond,
Seen for distant miles...as well as far beyond.
Small creatures leap and to fly about the scape,
Lilly pads float by, the Spanish moss to drape.
While croaks and chirps, greet the still of night,
One lonely bird, a Heron, is startled into its flight.
No photograph shall capture, this beguiling spell,
The cool air whispers, as the gentle winds prevail.
Midnight hour looming, all high clouds are swept,
In memories saved, where peace of mind is kept.
Father time the incessant traveler, nods, moving on,
Beautiful reflections held there to carry me home,
Childhood memories beckon, locked within our minds,
Wonders held in innocent times...all splendid designs.
