End of Days

By Tony DeLorger © 2012

The world is coming to an end, I fear,

there's rioting in the streets,

fires, destruction and mass murder,

millions starving, oppressed and mistreated,

war, bombs and desecration,

the air is poison, seas are rising,

violence, racial hatred and segregation,

corruption, greed and power struggles,

political manipulation and propaganda,

world banks pulling strings,

the poor poorer, the rich richer,

animal cruelty and pain inflicted,

nature ravaged and choking,

the land depleted, chemical suicide,

drugs so lethal demented minds,

rotting corpses on empty streets,

babies crying, no mothers care,

families broken, children torn,

selfish minds and lust a poor substitute,

for love...

And all this, the evening news.

I ask myself, what more hell can there be,

when love is a second choice of being,

when money, power and lust appear,

to be the fulfilment of a life.

We have so much potential,

yet this is our reality.

Someone tell me why...

Glad you appreciated the words, starstream, and yes perhaps technology gives us a more sound perspective. But, nonetheless, we continue to move away from the reason we have been given.

You have been able to put into words what many of us are seeing these days. Could it be that some of it is more in focus and in our face now due to the capabilities of cameras and technology to bring us a front seat to our world?

A very realistic expression you have made. Tony, we have to have hope and never give in. I felt so much faith in the human spirit after the massacre in Connecticut recently. People from around the world were contacting the victims families and sending condolences and gifts, This was so much gratifying and restoring of the true human caring from around the entire globe. We still have hope and through our faith we will be victorious. Thank you for sharing this my friend. whonu
