Endurance~ a gift for mankind

Updated on June 1, 2011

Depleted, obsolete ready to fall off  our feet

The pain is too hard to conquer, not wanting to retreat

Broken, shattered with no salvage value, no salvation

Life has always promised a road mixed with mutilation

Driven to insanity out of the pain that makes you lose your grip

The treacherousness that pushes you off the edge, making you slip

Depleted we have become, fully depreciated to zero

Claiming to be waiting for a life-time hero

Yet in the end lonely we have become, with a shadow to claim

And destined to burn in a life intertwined with hate and flame

So, we have walked helpless and defenseless

And life claimed to be merciless

Like an item claimed worthless and helpless

We’ve been cast on life’s shelves

Darkened this life has turned, treacherous yet dreadful

And fate’s hands of pain and depression hand us a spoonful

Of excruciating tests that know no limit, no end

As we are cast to wander, and despair we are unable to fend

Driven mad by the ghosts of the past, and the present

Unable to find content, peace, or even repent

Hold on to the light, though fading, to the ray of hope

And never listen to the voices in your head by casting the rope

Grip harder, dig in with your nails

If you slip now, know that he fails

Though we are broken soldiers restrained

We can undo the madness have the void contained

Content, peace of mind and soul

Will fill in that empty black hole

So join me hand in hand let us be shoulders to cry on

Let us claim our pain as no more as our own

We share the sickness the dread the defeat

Together helping each other off our feet

Endure! Breathe in the air, let out the pain

For once let me be the sunshine the rain

That chases the pain away

So stay with me if you may

Hold my hand for I too fear the dark

With its daggers for eyes formed of spark

Listen to the flute past the Nile as it plays

And watch as that heart of mine sways

Yet for the first time it doesn’t waver in fear

Nor in pain sorrow, so watch it as it sheds a tear

Lonely and unpurified had it lived through this life

With an incurable wound created by strife

Yet two broken hearts can mend each other’s injuries

Endure; for once together united we can conquer each other's miseries

God bless the endurance of man and may he learn more

For to endure the pain the sadness and fight it from the core

Is his only gift, his reason to breathe his soul,

Endurance is the cure for the incurable hole

and we as humans can endure a lot, as can our hearts, we can heal, and we have hope. we have instinct and the will to survive. Life has always promised a road mixed with mutilation, and we know that we have to get through this road to reach our goals.

There is nothing in this world other than the "I" you imagine you are. The body is an illusion. The Universe is an illusion. It is all a construct of mind and this elaborate construct keeps us hypnotised imagining we are separate from each other in a world of where we see saw between joy and sorrow. We imagine that God created this world so we have someone or something to blame for our plight but nobody takes responsibility for how we have collectively agreed to play this insane charade. There is reason for it all for we are too busy living a dream and imagining it is real!

Zero hour is upon us,so it's time to apply that endurance to pro-active status instead of an reactive one.You have an intense and beautiful spirit Uriel.;)
