Eulogy For The Ice Witch

Kenneth, loves satire and writings to spotlight others, but he also has an "addiction" so to speak, to dramatic and abstract/prose poetry.

Though fantasy curses an earthen truth
Through faded memories cast
I shall suffer my silence in cavern cove so still
Where ravens black, crows of flight
Reek havoc upon the virgin's back

I see now a time of yore and bloodied hands of men
Hearing with whispering winds and cloudy sins
Tramping the cloak of mine mother of wine of pure
Rhapsody singing and bones a jingling
Still your virgin's back I seek

I cried and cast a beam of time
While you cried yet sheltered her vine
Blood ran red and water stood hot
My younger hands shook and your peace I shook
Still in a flicker of time
I never made the virgin mine

Oh, winter's gone and stars have fallen
Lost is my sins men hung on my sleeve
Praying, weeping and begging their God
To purge with fire my cauldron of sod
But while I wept, your virgin fled
In silk of white and passion's sweet sweat

My music ceased of strings and tingling things
A market man would surely sell
Camels, gophers, oxen, and yak still his greed is green
A cloud is my door, my servant his whore
But once I was as your virgin bows

When in smaller days of light and friendly night
I could caress the stars above
And hear the dove singing woe's 'neath my cloak
To laugh at lies he told and hearts I broke
But your virgin gazes straight to blazes stroke

I am but what you hated and threw over the foam
I did not die your death, curse or make the horses roam
Yet wildcats sing of robin's and strings
So daffodils and roses he brings
And your virgin rises to walk on coals of laughter

Yet now the tree, the olden tree and I freeze straight
Lightning strikes as lizards rise and magic vapor opens his gate
Walking up, laying down, I lie exhausted of fight and foe
Casting off half a truth laughing at justice they told
Now Ice Witch is fading is fading again
Wondering what your virgin and I would have been.

      Dear Friend, Jodah,

I have no fitting words to say "thank you," in a sufficient manner. But thank you from the heart for your warm words that just make me feel like sticking around a bit longer on HP.

If I can ever be of help to you in any way, you know how to get my attention.

      Peace, my friend.

Your poetry never ceases to amaze me with it's complexity and beauty, Kenneth. I think it is the stark comparison between it and your light-hearted comedy hubs that is so striking. Well done.
