That Eva Fidjeland is a multi-talented artist is quite evident when one is experiencing her glass sculptures, mixed media images...and now, her poetry.

Metamorphosis is her first book of poetry, published in 2007. For those familiar with Eva Fidjeland´s art, this hardly comes as a surprise. Her art is pregnant with poetic qualities. She expresses universal queries in trains of thought and reflection. She travels to a different existence, in another dimension....

Metamorphosis means transformation. Eva Fidjeland follows the stages a flower goes through, from seed to full bloom, carrying within the seeds of new life (...) Love - in the vast sense - is what she is talking about.

Eva Fidjeland is a versatile word-artist; her language is clear as crystal - refined and powerful - figurative and abstract, all at once. Her poems are laden with a musical nerve that could inspire any composer to create symphonies of enlightened images embellished in richly varied cascades of color!

Eva Fidjeland´s poems are potent with a powerful kind of beauty and zest for life, far from the romantic sort.
