Even the Smallest..

Updated on August 29, 2013
Source

Does the tiny ant...
have certain knowledge of what it is doing,
or does it, just do it by instinct..?
The Lord has given these thoughts to us...
to try to understand the infinite beauty
of the tiniest of creatures he has created...
Next time you crush an ant ..
think of this picture..
and know that the Lord takes note
of everything you do
even to the tiniest of his creations.

I do not remember chapter and verse, but I remember reading the bible where it says the Spirit of God is in every thing He created. Thank you for reminding me to appreciate this.

I guess that we must look a bit like ants to God, in the vastness of the universe. How wonderful that He is interested in each of us! Thank you for your lovely poem - like a little, well-crafted cameo.

Sweet and poignant poem you've created, cleaner3. I appreciate the perspective of an ant and often think about what the poem explores. I don't like killing them anymore unless they are where they should't be, like on me. :) Voted Beautiful.

Awesome picture and food for thought I must say. I probably will think of it for awhile with every ant I smash. Kind heart. :)

Nicely worded and the message very clear. Think before we act, it could be us under their feet, crushing us! Every living thing that walks, crawls, swims on our planet must be respected, try as we must, we need to remember the taking of a life is the most saddest of choices.

That is awesome you gave the ant some needed praise. They can be pesky but they have their own job to do.

Voted up and awesome. I have an awful time killing ANYTHING. The picture is phenomenal. I usually take a tissue and put bugs that get in our house outside. I SO value the gift of life, and God's creatures' lives are so much shorter than ours, so I try to save as many as I can...with the exception of the Godzilla size mosquito that sometimes gets in our house...they can be terrorists. God bless and thank you for this thought provoking read...short but so powerful! Sparklea :)

Does this include carpenter ants? They're all over the place in my house since we are renovating the masters bathroom and my bathroom. A very meaningful post. This just comes to show you that for every creation is beautiful to God.
