Every Corner

Updated on November 30, 2013

Driving around every corner
he never listens to you
clashing all the time
just another argument
he'll never agree with you.

Fighting on the same side
its friendly fire
he'll beat you down
tell you on you're wrong
pulling you down
boxing gloves on
it's the same stage
voices are different
he rather you stay in the shadows of death
while he stands in the light
he'll drive your right over.

It's not a competition
you're not a victim
you are not alone
he's always giving broken promises
he doesn't know you're an overcomer.

Ouch! This is a very sad poem. I love how it ends with victory.
