Every Day Rain
The Only Thing On My Mind
I wake up and that"s all I see
The little rain drops that go tap tap tap on the trees
I wonder how many buckets of water would this rain fill ?
If I stacked them up for all to count
Certainly the Guiness Book Of Records would agree
More rain than they have ever seen
That would be some chore being responsible for gathering the rain that has dropped
It has rained Saturday,Sunday and Monday too
When will the rain finally stop
The flowers and trees need the water
It gives gardens and grass growing power
Where is the sun ?
That warm beautiful sun
Dry up the mud and turn my day into a beach day
Where I can walk on the hot sand and get a tan
Everything I touch is wet
My daily paper gets all soggy
It turned the news into the blues
Now the front headlines read More Rain On The Way
Each person I see talks about the rain
What a pain
When will it stop ?
People are grumpy and sad
They even get mad for no reason at all
Traffic has slowed down because the roads are slippery and wet
Unbrellas have bloomed some red some white
Bouncing in the dim light
Keeping people dry covering everything but their eyes
We can't stop mother nature
What can we do ?
Enjoy the rain the beautful rain
Think of it as a healing medicine that touches the skin
Making everything healthy again
Making the sick well
All our problems could be solved
Our troubles would slowly disappear
Now we would see people out in the street
Dancing to a new beat
Maybe buck naked and bare
Looking for more rain to come
Now that would be a day that I would like to see
Where fighting would stop and hand shaking and hugs would be second nature
Laughing and joking would make each day different
Getting all wet would now turn to pleasure instead of being all upset
Seeing you dripping wet
Would be more fun than ever
Move over as I want to get wet too and feel as great as you
