Everyday, Christmas Time

Christmas time with its nativity

Captures people’s best activity.

One of hope and of giving

One of trust and of loving.

A time to escape life’s harsh reality.

Put up the tree covered in white snow

Watch the pleasure in faces that glow.

Beneath the tree where presents abound

The innocent love of a child is found.

This is enough to forget what you owe.

Go to your Church as a family

This is where true happiness lay.

Then let the children play with their toys

Whilst you sit back soaking up the joys.

Wishing this could last more than just one day.

The message is there clear to be seen

A day is not what it should have been.

All days should be just like this

Filled with love and family bliss,

Not filled with sorrow at the debts obscene.

Now your resolution must be made

And this time you must not let it fade.

Happiness is not material

It is a feeling and that is real.

Joy all days is why Christ’s life, down he laid.
