Everything And Nothing - A Poem

Everything And Nothing

This is a poem I wrote in 1982.  I was on a local TV show with some other poets and I read this poem.   Cable TV was new and looking to fill air time.

Everything  And Nothing

I can touch the heart of a Leopard

I am the death of an Elm

I can take the breath of a Kitten

I am a Mother’s touch

I am laughter and moonlight

I am everything and nothing

I have always been, and never was

In my absence, all things wilt

In my presence, life and love and tomorrow
