Excercising Your Mischief Bone

Updated on July 21, 2012

Many of my dear fellow hubbers possess a 'mischief bone' and it is trually a thrill when they exercise it in front of other hubbers! Of course it can be tiring to be on the receiving end of a mischief bone but if others know what you're about it can be a bit of light-hearted entertainment in the right context.

When nothing seems to be happening use a bit of TMG! The Mischief Bone

Don't be shy - your mischief bone is not something to be ashamed of - I have to thank Ghost32 who reminded me of this very important part of our anatomy in his hub that can be found at

Exercising this bone is very important and it is one of the first bones we use, as children, I'm guessing, to get much needed attention from our parents.

Very often (has anyone else observed this phenomenon?) when you are just plain nice no body seems to notice you or care or react or 'admire' anything you do.

Sometimes the world just seems apathetic and indifferent and there's this big hole in your being that just needs attention - it's a bit like a sleeping or tired husband - what is it about this that just seems to grate on a wife's nerves!? (I'm not the only male to have observed this one, either!)

Well not really but don't forget emotions rule not intellect when it comes to the mischief bone or TMG.

The greatest mistake is trying to be more agreeable than you can be - Walter Cronkite

So why not rearrange using TMB

- The greatest virtue is trying to be more disagreeable than you can be!

Here's another one -

Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to a better understanding of ourselves - Carl Jung

Let's re-arrange (again, using TMB) -

Everything that irritates others about ourselves can lead us to a better misunderstanding of others!

Hee hee don't you love exercising the TMB! And this...

Everything that irritates others about us can lead others to a better understanding of themselves!

Next is this

People say you are going the wrong way when it is simply a way of your own. - Angelina Jolie

Again here goes with TMB -

People say you are going the wrong way because you are!

People say you are going the right way when they want to see you fall in!

Nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wisely- Auguste Rodin

Nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wisely! TMG is stumped over that one!!!

On that note I'm outta here but please feel free to leave a little mischief of your own!

Here's a list of great displays of Mischief Bone Excercising:

and of course the one that inspired this:

Drbj - to be honest I didn't identify one of these in you - am I wrong? Forgive me - I searched and searched through your hubs and only found reference to animals so I concluded you are more evolved than the mischief makers - wonderfully restrained and tactful in my appraisal from what I've gathered of Drbj. I hope I haven't offended you and others saying this - please forgive me! but I look up to Drbj - The Rock - that hubber that never puts a foot wrong! Mischief makers are afflicted and wish deep down they were more like Drbj!

Thanks, psychicdog for identifying TMB. I knew I had one of those things but until reading your clever explanation didn't know what to call the dang thing. Is it connected to the neck bone or the tail bone? Wherever, I am delighted to have one ... or two ... or three! :)
