In Fading to Blue

Updated on June 4, 2017

The brightest of white light,

our lives all from the start.

Brighter than the daylight,

the sun's on virtual heart.

Lasting long, does the light,

remaining strong, over time.

Providing life, as so defining,

of its essence, is so sublime.

A guiding beacon, trails taken,

its own blueprint does foretell.

illuminating darkness of night,

captivating, and does prevail.

An inspiration for all the others,

sisters and brothers, to entail.

Sharing the heavy load, by this,

a winning mode, all does unveil.

Each fleeting life, so full of strife,

encountered by all along the way.

Strength it takes, none forsakes,

is seen in both the night and day.

Beauty revealed, once concealed,

emboldened now for them to stay.

A cascade of hues, all the brights,

reds and blues, are now on display.

The shining orb that fills the skies,

with its on brilliance, of luminosity.

Each one's spirit is so revitalized,

by hearts within, in all a certainty.

Carried from afar, this celestial star,

focused upon each's own destiny.

Made to last, every mold that's cast,

the recording of our very tenacity.

At last, when all is said and done, all of the distance run,

A most dynamic aura now to illumine the sky once spun.

Now fades to blues, that energy it has used, it is undone,

A greatest source, living proof, its heir's quest are begun.

The race now done, of our lives, the distance, have all run,

All finished, have covered the course, nothing left undone.

The lighted sky, now fades, blues hang on, to a setting sun.

Our jobs well satisfied, each runner tired, their ribbons won.
