Faith and Failure (poem)

Updated on March 9, 2011

You come and go

out of my life

like a butterfly unable to be captured

driven away by fear.

Comfort comes from running away

trying to make a change

before others decide my fate.

How to hang on

during moments of doubt?

What does it matter if I fail?

Forces against success

tear me to my core.

Failure means death

life without what I know.

You will never understand

why I must move forever forward

driven by a faith

to believe in the impossible.

All of my being

place into this one chance.

When my best is not enough,

how do I go on?

Nice poem. Faith is built on our daily circumstances and well worth the pain and reflection.

your best is always enough. doing your best is all you can do in life, and if its not good enough for someone then screw them...and failure isnt death...i failed at the most important thing in life, motherhood. I'm still here. With a huge regret, but im still here...:) very nice poem, the best ive read today...thanks :)
