The Roadside Ghost (Flash Fiction by GalaxyRat)

Updated on July 3, 2017

GalaxyRat is fond of rats and writing. And dark poetry. She knows that people don't like all these things together... but who cares?

She told me she hadn't gone there, she said she never had. I asked what her name was, she said she didn't know; apparently she had been in some sort of trauma. She disappeared later, and no one ever found her. Later, when the police pulled me aside from the car crash, they said she had told them the same thing. On file, her name was Elisa Matts, but she said her name was really Jaynee Sara.

Of course, this shocked me greatly. Jaynee Sara had been a crash on this same road, and she hadn't survived at all.
