Farm WILD FLOWERS

Updated on June 22, 2011

After spending a week and a half on my sister's farm, and taking many pictures of the multitudes of flowers and animals there, I wanted to share some of that beauty with my readers, and this is what took shape. These were from Watsontown, Pennsylvania.

WILD FLOWERS

On the farm,
we're known as weeds
for we don't grow
from packaged seeds.

We are Nature's
exclusive lace
that garnishes
her earthy face.

In many colored
shapes and sizes,
we spring up
as Nature's prizes...

Embellishments
that please the eye,
we bloom and grow
in great supply

and scent the air
with sweet perfume.
Our purpose is
to grace and bloom.

It's what we do
with great romance
to glorify
the Master's stance...

as

WILD FLOWERS.

Epigramman, I am thrilled that you are my first on this one! If I could, I would give you a huge hug! I spent a fair amount of time playing with my camera, during the time at the farm, and spend time here in Maryland, with my son, taking pictures...it somehow soothes the soul within me, and reminds me exactly who is in charge of this Life thing...I am glad to be back, and have alot of catching up to do, so I will be by your hug shortly. Lots of love to you, my dearest friend!

Yes, you are absolutely right. We live in a time when people throw away a vegetable because it is not the "right" shape. People want to decide on the colour of their baby's eyes. We are surrounded with natures beauty and often time blind to her magnificence. It is good to see you back and I pray all is well. Thank you for the beautiful words and wonderful pictures.
