Feeling Free: A Poem

Updated on October 24, 2011

When I got distracted
It was like a brain hiccup
No I haven't overreacted
It's just that I"m moving up

Flowing in the wind
Throwing up my gravity-bent chin
Free but unstable mind
My heart is a frown, my face is a grin

Beauty I am, beauty I'll be
Handsome you'll still be for someone
I'm looking past this fear of insecurity
I"m holding on, I won't come undone

I'm gathering my strength, peace, and joy
To make a heartfelt bouquet
not for me but for a future boy
I'll wait but live fully until that uniting day...

Thanks Ebower for sharing your version of describing how I have been feeling today. No time for shedding tears over the past- I am too busy flying. I maintain my stand on the ground, always keeping my eyes open, but right now I want to ride the wind again. I do enjoy your poetry!!
