Finger to the Pulse

Updated on August 11, 2017

Awake,

Awake I am dreaming, to wake from this eternal sleep

Screams

Screams for me to wake are like echoes, which they can keep

Alive

Alive I’m not feeling, for I keep on slipping further away

Death,

Death reads me poems, of my past life and my everyday

Now it’s too late, to compromise and finish what you said you would

Now it’s too late, to see the ones you kept saying you should

Life,

Life is now over; let my regrets begin to pour

Goodbye,

Goodbyes begin to start ringing, for I want to hear no more

Someday,

Someday is a word that people use, when they push us away

Never,

Never too late to realize, that this moment can be taken today

Now it’s too late, to compromise and finish what you said you would

Now it’s too late, to see the ones you kept saying you should

Now it's too late, to have what I wanted all along

Now it's too late, you tricked me into hearing your song
