A Poem Fingerprints

Updated on February 1, 2012

Katy Perry-Fingerprints

Determining Fingerprint Patterns

One thing that makes me crazy

More than anything at all

Some are Big

Some are small.

I see prints up on the countertops

And prints all over the door

As I shake my head down

Another one on the floor

Prints on every door knob

Prints in every doorway

Prints, prints, prints

Will they ever go away?

Fingerprints are everywhere

What you touch

Is what I see

These fingerprints are dirty

Give away your identity.

Fingerprints of yours

And fingerprints of mine

Fingerprints can be fun

How many can you find?

I once again will clean these prints

Wipe them from every wall

I’m sure I’d be real sad

If there were no fingerprints to see at all.

Funny I read this today, because just yesterday I was having similar thoughts. They were all over the cabinet doors and walls I have to wipe down. Each time, some paint goes with it because the people who painted this apartment decided to use flat paint instead of something a little more child friendly (or adult friendly, as the case may be with the cabinet above the stove).

Love this creative poem, Home would be far too quiet though without those fingerprints, and what would we do all day. Lol

We all leave our mark, I guess, in more ways than one. The joys of parenting... :)

The only ones who likely don't share your views on prints work for CSI. Any parent with kids can surely agree.

The nice thing about fingerprints when you have toddlers around is that you can track their growth!

If seen, some would be ugly, like bruises; other, like the petals of a rose. Bob

All I can say is you must have a bunch of little children to be seeing those fingerprints everywhere. :) (Just kidding) This is a cute write it made me laugh. I can't stand those fingerprints on the mirrors. Thanks for sharing this one.
