Finish Line: In My Life’s Destiny

Looking down the dark valleys and up the rocky mountains where I had been wandering;

I remember how I ran the race that I had started in this life’s journey;

The strangers along the way who either attacked or befriended me are now settled in their own destinies;

It is still noontime and I have to run halfway to the finishing line in this race of life;

I left behind the hurdles and obstacles that endangered my life along the way;

All the fears are gone;

What is left in me is courage and bravery to pursue the prize that I deserve;

I am much better now;

I had learned my lessons;

I had graduated with flying colors from the basic lessons in life that are custom-made for me;

I had purged myself from contamination brought about by the piles of rubbish and debris that had tried to block my way;

The knowledge and the wisdom that naturally resulted from life’s tortures along the paths of destiny;

Are now the armors that invigorate my soul as I behold the next steps that I will take ahead of me;

With renewed spirit and vigor;

My feet are now eager to initiate the first step to the finishing line of this race;

I am now determined to finish the race that I had started;

It’s time to turn my back from the debris of the broken castle that I had wished to be my abode for the rest of my days;

I had accepted the fact that it was not mine;

I was just a guest;

Its owner and host who diplomatically

entertained me had finally divulged his true color;

The bright red color that turned into a bloody dark and dreadful shadow;

I had faced my enemy squarely;

My righteous anger made him cower and had turned him to ashes;

Losing my enemies now enabled me to achieve strong self-confidence above the mundane of life;

I had summoned Faith and Wisdom to open the door to Victory and to run side by side with me;

I now realized that I am not alone in this race;

I have three allies and supporters who carry me through speedily;

Love, Faith and Wisdom are ever present in this race even before I realized it;

Others would call it Lucky or Fortunate were my friends when I had surpassed those difficult and dangerous times in this journey;

But my tribute goes to my ever present allies;

All credits are for them;

I just follow their guidance because it’s them who see the darkness that surrounded me;

Those things unseen by naked human eyes, my allies see clearly and they warned me, and will continue to do so for as long as I live;

All I do is to listen to their warnings and instructions;

Then follow the direction that they whisper in my heart and mind;

Being in this state of mind, I continue treading the second half of my destiny;

I now find myself walking beside a crystal clear creek;

I still have time to swim or dip in this very inviting water;

So I took off my clothes till I get completely naked;

There’s a water falls that flow abundantly from the top of the cliff;

Behind the falls is a cave that can barely be seen for it is covered by flowering vines and ferns;

Such a natural beauty!

The cool water in the creek refreshes me and I am enjoying the sweet coolness of the water that drops to caress my skin;

I now feel as calm as I enjoy the tingling of my veins;

I can pleasurably sense the rushing release of the stress that had previously pestered my body;

I was almost done and was ready to get back my clothes when I noticed some movement from behind the waterfalls;

It was coming from inside the cave;

The ferns were swayed aside, the frogs leaped from one rock to another and some butterflies were disturbed from their pollen sucking activities;

Then suddenly a figure of a naked Adonis appeared;

He was there standing on a rock and staring at me;

He waved his hand to me as a gesture of acknowledging my presence and announcing his;

My initial reaction was to run away but then Love reminded me that Fear had banished already; it’s now Love to guide me in all my ways;

Love whispered in my ears and heart;

“Take him, he’s the best for you, he will uphold you and push you up to the pedestal, he is your initial prize, he will run with you in the race of life;”

I am not alone anymore literally;

My Adonis is holding my hand as we tread side by side towards the completion of this race;

My Adonis is much stronger than me physically;

I can stumble no more for his strong arms are ever ready to protect me;

I hunger no more for he knows the food in the meadows that we both tread on;

He tells me of the vividly colorful rainbows that appear across the sky every time the rain had done watering the thirsty wild flowers in the meadows;

He is My Joy and My Inspiration in the race of life in this planet of the living;

I just realize by now that running the race with Adonis is far better than running alone;

Two is definitely better than one;

The warmth of his presence fuel the heat in me constantly;

It fires my heart to dream the impossible and to achieve beyond human understanding;

Along the paths in the meadows are flowering shrubs;

The birds of paradise sing the promise of Victory’s door opening ahead of us to welcome us in the finishing line;

All we do now is following the path that leads to the Victory jubilee in that Destination that is prepared just for me and my Adonis;

Faith, Love and Wisdom ensure Victory at the end of this race;

The finishing line is just within our reach now!
