Footsteps’ Course (poem)

Updated on June 3, 2015

A silence guides my footsteps’ course

Her calling kisses were the source

To be without them brought remorse

So I was captive of a force

We fell in love mid summer’s flow

In satin dreams where flowers grow

Enticed on streams where delights glow

What happened next we do not know

Spent day by day on lovers’ course

And day by day we felt love grow

Each footstep’s moment left its glow

As we embraced our wishes’ force

The summer days would feel night’s flow

Jealous confusion spread its source

A trusting love saw doubt’s remorse

What happened next I do not know

We fell upon some unknown force

Its passing brought me dread’s remorse

A stream of crimson was its source

As silence guides my footsteps’ course

Music only

That was charming, yet sorrowful. It was like a dog who waited all day for its owner to come home. I voted up, shared and pinned it.

So sad. It seemed they were on top of the world. What happened to their love?
