Footsteps (rhyming tanka)

Updated on December 24, 2015

Walking in the rain

Mid the strangers and our pain

Footsteps bare refrain

Secret silence they maintain

Of a world that’s gone insane

Ohhhh...I liked this very much, Martin. I love rhyme, and there is a lyric simplicity to the words in this Tanka which describe something so powerful and profound. Well done!

You know what's going to happen now don't you? Well o course you will inspire me to compose a tanka.

You are a great teacher and keep them coming.

      Eddy.

      Thought-provoking tanka!

Actually, the world is insane because of humans since the beginning, whenever it really was.
