For Children of Adversity: A Dedication to parents of children who have suffered or is currently suffering.

Peace elusive, kindness rare, life seems short and we feel pain.

Why do loved ones feel encumbered; others act with such disdain?

Hope seems distant, friends desert, new beginnings; children hurt.

So few to hear our mulling cries, save parents who remember worth.

Still, strife inspires fortitude. Some do give and others thrive,

Nourished and enobled lives, graced by His Love to say alive.

Do you see the glowing smiles, as their hearts of gold unfold?

Children feel this deep within, and in their hearts do goodness mould.

So as we lay here weary, on our beds of shallow night,

Solely comforted by some who persist to kindle light.

And sharing with our loved ones: kindness, dignity and ruth,

May the good Lord finds us worthy, grant us peacefulness in youth.

Yes, my Sweet. A Mother's heart from you (Even though I remember your sweet children at Bloomer Lake). These situations always posses bigger questions. Alas! What can we do? God is always merciful. Let us pray together. Much love to you.

It is difficult to work with children that must suffer through illness or lack of a whole body. It just doesn't seem right to make the innocent go through these trials.

Pray indeed . I also know what you are saying about parents and I strongly agree. Have you seen my Dedication to Mothers Love? I read it this evening at Poetry café. Have a great evening.

A noble dedication to the worthy parents of suffering children. It takes a special heart to comfort the little ones in pain. Every human heart feels it, but not all can endure it. Let us pray for the strength of those who do.

Yes, Victor. I agree. Kahlil Gibran said something similar. Glad you understand. Much peace to you this Sunday morning here in London.

It is sad when you hear on the news the plight of children so serious that it is almost unbelievable. They must be protected. But they must also be allowed to spread their wings and make their own choices.

Children are our future and it is so important to see them through the rough times. They should never be treated cruelly or abused.

      Is she well, now, Faith?

Never easy to look after these sweet ones. May He protect and guide you both in your journey. Hugs.

Oh, when it comes to small children, my heart just aches for them when they are ill or mistreated, neglected or abused. One of my sweet little ones just this last week was so ill and pitiful with high fever, I lost several days of sleep comforting her and having to painfully place her in a cool tub to bring down the fever. She, as are all children, so very precious.

Thank you for writing such a beautiful and thought-provoking piece here.

      Voted up ++++ and away

      Blessings and peace always

      Yes, my sweet Friend.

It is a difficult one for parents and their children who suffer from such affliction. So good of you to appreciate this. Greetings to you this a.m from London, UK.

The most difficult part of nursing was the children's ward and neonatal. God bless all the children. Bless you for remembering them with beautiful poetry.

O great mom. I have experienced that feeling too well, and I know a Mother's pain. So true, my cute friend. Thank you most wholeheartedly.

We parents feel it so much when our children are ill or in pain - even when they are adults and there is so little that we can do sometimes. Thank you for your lovely poem.
