An Afternoon Encounter

Updated on September 3, 2013

I finally found the nerve to approach her that DAY.

Petite in stature, her mystique nearly took my breath AWAY.

Dressed in a splendid violet blouse and SKIRT.

Shod in three inch open toe heels, coiffed with wavy black hair, my senses were ALERT.

Tucked away in a corner of the coffee house, upon her laptop she STARED.

Pondering making my move, for about 30 seconds I PREPARED.

My heartbeat increased as I walked towards her TABLE.

Silently speaking self affirmations, I kept myself STABLE.

Asking if I could join her, yes, she kindly REPLIED.

Ready to converse, she put her books and computer to the SIDE.

She told me her name was Sonya, as we made the proper INTRODUCTION.

Instantly aroused, my mind raced with thoughts of lust and SEDUCTION.

No longer nervous, I began to take CONTROL.

The calmness of her eyes allowed me to peer into her SOUL.

Sipping on mocha latte's, I asked if she'd like to come to my PLACE?

"I would", is what she replied, with a devilish smile upon her FACE.

Wow, after hearing her response, I was almost in SHOCK!

Quickly, after leaving a tip, we made our way up the BLOCK.

Holding hands and giggling, we reached my apartment's DOOR.

Upon entering, she kicked off her sandals and all garments were tossed upon the FLOOR.

For well over a hour, we were intermingled in BLISS.

Enjoying every second, savoring each and every KISS.

After a brief siesta and shower, we each had to resume our DAY.

Feeling like the king of the world, I escorted Sonya back to the CAFE.

Marines? OohRah! Sweet! Now you're even more a hero to me :D

I try to tell myself that there is nothing worth regretting if we learn something from it... like I said 'I TRY'... lol

Yes, I'm ashamed that I haven't been to your Corporal Jones hub before now... but I just made it over and it's terrific :D

      Hi Cat,

Yes I served in the Marine Corps Reserves from 1996-2002. I've made a few mistakes in picking women, but we all live and learn, hopefully.

Hey there buddy bear! Ha ha... You're not a bonehead... you're a very talented man and a loving father! I also 'overread' that you served 6 years in the military... forgive me, I forgot what branch. Either way... you have even more of my respect now. My brother is Air Force and he was a hero of mine before he went into the military, but that has only made him even more so.

Ah... the boyfriend thing... lol; I've got a gift for pickin' 'em! :D ... I think there's something inside of me that just makes a man go mad! lol

      Hi Cat,

I'm such a bonehead. This laptop is tough. This was the second time I had to get it fixed! Hearing what your boyfriend did pisses me off. Why would he be so immature?!

      Man of Strength,

Ahh! That stinks! Well, I bought a brand new laptop about 2 years ago and last year, my boyfriend go mad and threw it across the room, breaking my screen. It'd cost me as much to get it replaced as the laptop cost me in the first place... so (if you don't tell anyone), I've got my laptop hooked up to a computer monitor.... lol, talk about a redneck? :D

      Hi Cat,

You're never alone, in Florida the humidity is so bad, you're sweating as soon as you walk out the door. It cost about $150 to fix the dc jack on my laptop. Learn from me, don't leave your laptop on bed while you sleep.

      Man of Strength,

Aww... I don't know if I should laugh or cry! To be quite honest, I'm behind in almost 900 emails, guess that's what disappearing for the weekend, twice, will do! If you've wrote and I've missed it, I apologize. I'm sorry to hear about your computer, hope that didn't cost you and arm and a leg! Yes, I understand staying within the PG-13 range... lol; I think it was just enough, but not too much. Just right!

I hope the weather is being nice to you... we've had 90's all week and I've been sweating in places I can't reach! lol

Lucky you, the last time I got laid , your President was Ronald Regan, lol, I love how you put capitals on each rhyme word and to make it appear slightly tongue in cheek - love your racy mind - I write stuff like this too - we must be joined at the hip creatively speaking, lol, as great minds think alike, lol.

Will post on FB for all to see with a link and off to work in a bit but I really loved this one - your wit is priceless and unique.

Good wishes sent to you from Colin and his cats 5:46pm lake erie time

      My radiant Cat,

I thought I wrote you last week and told you about my negligence. During my night of rest, I kicked my laptop off the bed and damaged it. Luckily it could be repaired and Im back! Thanks for the love as always. I'm glad you liked this one, being that HubPages is PG-13, I couldnt cross the line but wanted to get as close as possible.

Hope life is treating you well!
